TIMOTHY WONG

Timothy Wong (b. 1986) praised for his "full range of power from forte to an exquisite and delicate high note", and a "personable young artist with a fine gift", holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto, Canada. He is not only highly active as a choral conductor, but also has a very vibrant piano and voice studio with a large range in age and level.

As a countertenor, Timothy has toured and recorded with ensembles in North America and Europe. He has been privileged to sing with larger ensembles like the Junge Stuttgarter Bachakademie, Kammerchor Stuttgart, Berliner Mozart-Chor, Toronto Bach Festival Choir, Vokalakademie Berlin, and smaller ensembles like the Vokalquintett Berlin and Camerata Vocale Bozen. Other performance credits include soloists in various oratorios and opera roles. 

As a conductor, Timothy has been the artistic director and conductor of "Amazing Graces, Gospel- und Popchor" in Berlin from 2017 to 2019, and has returned in the same capacity since 2025. 

As an educator, Timothy is a well sought-after teacher in piano and voice, and currently has a highly active studio with 40+ weekly students. He has also worked with various community choirs in Canada, Germany, and in Asia as a voice coach and clinician. Through his extremely multicultural upbringing, Timothy offers a very accessible approach to music learning of all ages and levels.
